Currently working as Program Management Director in one of the most complex industries in the world - Semiconductors. 

One of our competitors once complained that semiconductors are no rocket science, no - they are far more complex than that (1).

Others also famously complained that it is so intense, that here only the paranoid survive (2). I don't know about that, but it does take a lot of determination to succeed here. It is an industry in which even the mighty Jack Welch found himself dragged down by its complexity. An investor's dream of easy earnings? No, but an industry of strategic importance for all humanity.

Does that make it a place to get challenged, grow as a person, and continuously develop as a manager? You bet.

Having spent 17+ years in line management, project management & program management functions has allowed me to gain a wealth of knowledge in management, leadership, and technical areas. This experience allowed me to substantially contribute to the successful execution of up to double-digit Mio. EUR projects, the realization of triple-digit million EUR revenue business cases and to the development of project directors, senior team leaders, and principal level technical experts.

What I enjoy the most is driving the strategy behind a certain family of products: what is it that the market needs from us? How does this translate in terms of tactics? What skills, processes and culture do we need to succeed? Things that keep me busy normally are:

* bringing structure to complex topics that were until then hard to address,

* bringing derailed projects back on track,

* dealing with pipeline management,

* developing much-needed methodology and innovation processes

* running complex, cross-functional task forces.

* improving processes via driving lessons learned,

* contributing to the development of key employees by coaching or mentoring.
